Implementation Engineering Team Lead

Global-e (Nasdaq: GLBE) is the world’s leading platform to enable and accelerate global, direct-to-consumer cross-border e-commerce growth. We make selling internationally as simple as selling domestically for hundreds of retailers and brands worldwide.   

We’re looking for an experienced Implementation Engineering Team Lead to join our Implementation group. In this role, you will lead the team responsible for integrating with our top-tier brands and supporting their ongoing post-production evolution.

This position requires close collaboration with other Global-e teams and cross-functional groups to ensure projects remain on track within the defined technical solutions—or are adjusted as needed. You will also serve as a technical point of contact for post-production merchant support.

The role involves working across all fulfillment-related scopes. It requires a strong understanding of technical systems, attention to detail, excellent multitasking abilities, and the capacity to manage various priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of Global-e’s US Implementation Engineers team.
  • Develop and enhance implementation methodologies and best practices.
  • Serve as a technical mentor and focal point for Implementation Engineers and stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of tasks, meet deadlines for both internal and external deliverables, and manage escalations and priorities.
  • Provide ongoing technical training and support to team members, stakeholders, clients, and partners.
  • Offer leadership and technical guidance to internal interfaces such as Tech Support, Tech Operations, Product, etc.

Requirements

Experience:

  • 3+ years in a similar technical and leadership role.

Database Knowledge:

  • SQL Table Design: Understanding of SQL table structure and configuration to meet business and code requirements.
  • SQL Querying: Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries to validate configurations and ensure system performance.

Business Logic:

  • Ability to translate business requirements into accurate and efficient database configurations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills using logs, error messages, and database settings.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience working with APIs and JSON payloads.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, Salesforce, etc. (a plus).
  • Technical background or orientation (e.g., coding skills) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with cross-functional teams at all organizational levels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Positive, collaborative, and team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and ambitious with a passion for continuous learning.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to ensure successful and timely project completion.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Client-facing experience is required.

Additional:

  • Previous experience in an eCommerce environment is a strong advantage.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.

Compensation: $100k – $120k
