You will become a key member of our Tax Department, responsible for managing U.S. tax compliance and planning. In this role, you will oversee federal and state income tax reporting, sales and use tax compliance, and other U.S. tax matters. The U.S. Tax Manager will face complex challenges and will have significant opportunities for learning and professional growth.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of U.S. tax compliance, planning, and reporting, including federal and state income taxes.
- Manage U.S. sales and use tax compliance across all operational jurisdictions, ensuring accurate reporting and timely filing.
- Lead and coordinate preparation of U.S. federal and state tax returns, including review of supporting schedules and documentation.
- Oversee tax accounting for U.S. income taxes (ASC 740), including identifying and documenting uncertain tax positions (UTPs) and tax contingencies (FIN 48 and ASC 450).
- Advise on U.S. intercompany transactions, transfer pricing documentation, and I/C agreements as they relate to U.S. tax obligations.
- Support U.S.-specific expansion projects and transactions from a tax perspective.
- Develop and communicate policies to ensure adequate controls and documentation for U.S. direct and indirect taxes.
- Evaluate and implement technology solutions to improve U.S. tax compliance and reporting.
- Manage U.S. tax audits, working with external advisors and tax authorities.
- Review commercial agreements with customers, vendors, and partners to identify U.S. tax implications.
- Research and resolve complex U.S. tax issues, liaising with internal teams and external advisors.
- Monitor changes in U.S. federal and state tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
