HR & Admin Specialist – Romania

The HR Specialist will support the day-to-day HR and office operations for Global-e’s Romania office, based in Bucharest 2 days a week. This is a hands-on, operational role focused on employee welfare, benefits administration, office management, and ensuring a positive employee experience. The role will work closely with regional HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure smooth and efficient local operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to senior management as required.
  • Manage employee welfare initiatives, including meal tickets and employee gifting which will include liaising with external providers.
  • Coordinate the setup and administration of payment cards for senior management.
  • Support daily office operations and coordinate office events and team activities.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes as required.
  • Act as a local point of contact for employees on operational HR matters.
  • Work closely with regional HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure smooth local operations.
  • Organise the distribution of physical documents to our external providers for safe keeping as well as ensuring the documents are signed in accordance to law.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in HR administration, HR operations, or office management.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with high attention to detail.
  • Possession of the Human Resources Inspector (Inspector Resurse Umane) certificate is an advantage.
  • 2 days a week in our Bucharest office.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with Romanian employment practices and benefits (meal tickets, welfare programs, etc.).
  • Experience working with vendors and service providers.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Proactive, reliable, and service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple operational tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in Romanian and English.
  • Experience in an international or technology-driven company is an advantage.
