The Challenge

Driven to create the ultimate capsule wardrobe, Nakedvice founders Sarah Miller and Jessie Gargan have built a fashion brand that balances timelessness and current trends. The Nakedvice team recognized the potential of selling globally and implemented an e-commerce framework on their Shopify store to cater to consumers across the globe.

However they realized that their online shop was not providing international customers with an optimal buying journey, impacting the brand’s ability to maximize the global e-commerce opportunity.

Nakedvice could only show pricing and accept payment in a few currencies. In many markets, shoppers had to estimate their purchase price and were exposed to unclear exchange rates and transaction fees.

The brand could not provide a guaranteed final cost of purchase, including duties and taxes. This created friction and a bad customer experience, as international shoppers were frequently required to pay these fees upon delivery.

In addition, Nakedvice could only provide a handful of payment methods while many popular local and alternative options were unavailable. Moreover, their international shipping fees were high.

The Nakedvice team recognized that to fully realize their international potential, they needed to enhance the buying journey on their website and provide a seamless experience for customers worldwide. To achieve this, they sought a strategic partner capable of delivering advanced technological capabilities and expert guidance. The solution also needed to integrate with their Shopify-based site.

The Solution

The Results

Within only three months of launching its renewed global e-commerce set-up with Global-e, Nakedvice saw significant growth in its international e-commerce business.

In the United States, which has grown to become the brand’s top international market, orders have increased by 86% YoY.

Nakedvice was also able to tap into markets like The UK, Canada, Germany, and Singapore, where there was very little activity before. In Canada, for example, the brand can now present prices and accept payments in Canadian Dollars. Prices include all duties and provincial sales tax is shown on a separate line and charged at checkout, simulating a domestic shopping experience. Conversion rates in this market have grown by 64% YoY. In the United Kingdom, another key international market, the brand now presents pricing and accepts payments in GBP and offers multiple options; conversion rate rose by 90% YoY.

In addition, the brand has seen a considerable uplift its share of global business. Within only three months, Nakedvice’s share of international online orders out of all orders increased by 118%.
