Duty Drawback Specialist

About the Role:

We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Duty Drawback Specialist to ensure the accurate and efficient execution of daily operational processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in structured environments, takes ownership of processes, and collaborates effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. 

In addition to core operations, this role plays a key part in communication, documentation, and continuous process improvement across the Duty Drawback function. 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and organize documentation packages for claims, audits, and compliance reviews.  
  • Maintain and track documentation status, claim readiness, and audit actions through internal systems and trackers.
  • Support the completion of required regulatory documentation, including Power of Attorney forms and related paperwork.
  • Act as a point of contact for merchant inquiries, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional responses.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Operations, Finance, Legal, etc.) and external stakeholders to resolve operational gaps and ensure smooth execution.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the team’s knowledge base, including documenting procedures, SOPs, and best practices.
  • Identify process gaps and drive improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and standardization.



Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Logistics, Economics, International Relations, or similar.
  • Strong Excel skills – a Must.
  • Working knowledge of SQL – an advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills. 
  • English proficiency. 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. 
  • Experience in data analysis, financial operations, or technical operations. 
  • Knowledge of customs, trade, or duty drawback programs.
