Product Director – eCommerce Checkout

As a Product Director focused on eCommerce Checkout, you will play a crucial role in maximizing checkout conversion for Global-e merchants. You will be responsible for managing and enhancing our cross-border B2B2C SaaS platform – leading a team of product managers as well as performing hands-on product tasks yourself. Success in this role requires excellent leadership skills, a business-oriented mindset, a highly technical and data-driven approach, and the ability to work effectively with senior management and large B2C brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define your product domain roadmap and prioritize features and enhancements based on customer needs, market trends, and business goals, with a specific focus on maximizing checkout conversion rates for Global-e merchants.
  • Work closely with development teams, designers, senior management, and stakeholders to translate product requirements into detailed specifications. Guide the end-to-end product development process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features and functionality.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze data to identify areas of improvement. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and engaging checkout interfaces.
  • Utilize data analytics tools (including Mixpanel) and metrics to monitor platform performance. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), conversion rates, funnels, and customer behaviour to identify opportunities for optimization and growth.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including solutions, projects, sales, account management, customer support, operations, and growth teams.
  • Work closely with large B2C brands, managing priorities and ensuring quality, measurable delivery that meets their expectations and business goals.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate delivery and improve team productivity and output quality.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends in eCommerce checkout, payments, and conversion optimization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience; background in eCommerce checkout, funnel conversion, Fintech, Payments, or credit card industries is a major plus.
  • 3+ years of experience leading product teams of at least 2–3 product managers, with demonstrated excellent leadership skills.
  • B2B/B2B2C SaaS experience – required.
  • Proven track record working closely with large B2C brands, managing priorities and delivering measurable, high-quality results.
  • Highly technical profile with strong ability to work with analytics tools such as Mixpanel and other data platforms.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to expedite product delivery and enhance team output.
  • Business-oriented and data-driven approach to product decisions and roadmap prioritization.
  • Strong understanding of the eCommerce checkout funnel, technologies, and customer experience principles.
  • Familiarity with agile product development methodologies.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior management, and external brand partners.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
