The Challenge

M&Co, the famous leading chain store, had been selling online worldwide for over five years. However, it was encountering many common cross-border ecommerce obstacles that were preventing it from capitalising on its international online traffic. Due to high shipping costs M&Co was only able to offer international shipping via mail, and some of its bulkier products were difficult to ship internationally profitably. Additionally, it was only able to support a limited number of payment methods and a single currency, GBP, and did not provide international shoppers with a local tax and duties calculation, which hampered international conversion rates.

It was clear that international online growth was a key component to boosting sales and revenues and ensuring M&Co’s continued success, but it first needed to overcome these cross-border challenges.
